Jourdan Dunn is the New Face of Maybelline New York

London beauty, Jourdan Dunn is the newest face of Maybelline New York. She would be soon joining an elite group of Maybelline models that includes Christy Turlington, Erin Didonato, Christy Turlington, Charlotte Free, Freja Beha Erichsen and Emily DiDonato.

She was discovered at a local Primark at 16 by the agency Storm Models (who also discovered Kate Moss) and has been unstoppable ever since. She was voted as the British Fashion Council’s ‘Model of the Year’ in 2008 and has been on the cover model for four of Vogue’s Italia’s iconic Black Models issue, July 2008. She has lit up the runways for almost every top designer and is making history since Naomi to strut for Prada.

Dunn made her runway debut at the 2007 Fall New York Fashion Week. Dunn was on an early road to success in her career and was labeled as a “new star” and named “Top 10 Newcomer” by style.com that year.

Dunn has walked the runways for Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Burberry, Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Hermes, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Marc JacobsMiu Miu, Oscar de la Renta, Prada and Tom Ford. She has also been part of capaigns for Aldo, Banana Republic, Benetton, Burberry, ck Calvin Klein, John Galliano, Tommy Hilfiger and Yves Saint Laurent.

She has also appeared in American, British, French, Italian, Japanese and Russian editions of Vogue, Allure, Dazed & Confused, i-D, Numero, POP, V and W.

Dunn is also this month’s Vogue cover girl.

The 23 year old Brit model has a son, Riley, who was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. This was the reason behind her active involvement as the Parent Ambassador for the Sickle cell disease Association of America. She also hosts a lifestyle and cooking program called Well Dunn with Jourdan Dunn on Jay Z’s Youtube channel, Life+Times.

She would be making her debut in print and TV advertising campaigns for Maybelline New York this month.
