Moroccan Oil Treatment Review

Hello Beautiful,

IMG_2714

I have become so obsessed with my hair and skin these days that I have become a hair and skincare junkie. This oil was suggested by the stylist of the salon after he did a smoothening on my hair few days before my marriage. The product was supposed to be used as a hair serum to prevent breakage post the treatment. My hair was frizzy and dry before but after the treatment it was flatter and smooth. In order to keep the hair well nourished and properly hydrated, he had suggested me to buy this product. I didn’t want breakage and hair fall issues with my hair (with few days left for the wedding), so I bought it right away.

About the product

Moroccanoil® Treatment’s versatile, nourishing and residue-free formula can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. It blends perfectly with other products and even speeds up drying time. This treatment for hair completely transforms and repairs as its formula transports lost proteins for strength; fatty acids, omega-3 oils and vitamins for shine; and antioxidants for protection. It absorbs instantly to fill gaps in hair created by heat, styling and environmental damage.

A unique formula rich in antioxidant Argan oil that instantly absorbs into hair to immediately enhance manageability, shine and deliver long term conditioning without leaving residue.

Directions for use

Apply a small amount throughout damp or dry hair. Style as usual.

Ingredients

Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Argania Spinoza Kernel Oil (Argan Oil), Linum Usitatissimum (linseed) extract, parfum (fragrance), CI 47000, CI 26100, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate and Alpha-isomethyl ionone.

How to use

I have damaged, dry and frizzy hair and I am glad I bought it. I use this product typically as a hair serum along the length of my hair, sparing the roots. I apply two pumps of the oil on damp hair and at times when I overdo the quantity it makes my hair greasy and limp. It helps me ease out the frizz of my hair and gives it a healthy shine. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance and the pump is really easy to use.

However there is a catch. There is no ingredient list mentioned on the carton and when I looked for them I found that it contains chemicals which are not great for hair. In case you are aiming for natural hair care and wanted to buy this product for the benefits of Argan oil, it would be better to go for something which has 100% Argan oil for long term benefits for your hair. This product is great for instant results but the chemicals will ruin the texture further.
