TIME TO GET BACK IN SHAPE WITHOUT CRASH DIET

Shedding a few kilos might seem like a daunting task to many of us. Hence to achieve results soon, we end up doing crash diets to reach our goal. We might be even achieve it for once, however once it is put off the pounds will add on again. Losing weight is all about eating well, cutting down on portion sizes and making the right meal choices.

The basics of a diet

Eat frequent meals a day to lose weight. Break the bigger meals and eat small meals every two-three hours. This will improve your metabolism and would prevent overeating.

Reduce the portion size to understand when you are full

Chew your food at least 25 times before swallowing. It takes some time for the brain to register that you are eating. Chewing your food properly ensures that the body realizes that it is getting its fuel and can help you understand once the craving is over.

Drink plenty of water

Sometimes we confuse thirst with hunger and hence it is important to drink lots of water. It also helps in speeding up the metabolism and helps in getting rid of the toxins produced in our body.

Have lots of proteins

Proteins are the best thing you can have when you are trying to lose weight. It make you feel full for longer and helps in building muscles.

Cut on the bad calories

Well, if you can’t eliminate them altogether, try to cut down the number of calories that you ingest during the day. Try to cut not more than 500 calories a day to lose weight. If you cut more, the body will enter a starvation mode and will prevent weight loss.

Healthy snacking

Add a serving of fruits and raw vegetables to your daily diet and see the difference for yourself.

Exercise

Well you do not have to sweat yourself in the gym for an hour. If you have sedentary job, get up every 20 minutes, take the dog out for a walk, join yoga or pilates, dancing is great too. Having some sort of physical activity is important and gym is not the only solution. Try a combination of workouts and your body will be surprised by the change.
